30 opposition parties sign memorandum

About 30 opposition parties have signed a memorandum, according to which, representatives of the opposition agree to protect both their own and each other's votes.

 

According to the declaration, the opposition parties will be set up a headquarters, which be headed by Paata Davitaia.

 

As for the specific mechanisms, as it became known after today’s meeting, the parties will have a database on violations observed during the elections, as well as a coordination mechanism on how to react to the violations.

 

The parties also agreed on issues of cooperation with NGOs and international partners.
