Elene Khoshtaria, one of the leaders of European Georgia, arrived at the rally of solidarity of the Belarusian people near the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Georgia.

As Khoshtaria told InterPressNews, it is important that Georgia and the whole world express solidarity with the people of Belarus fighting for freedom.

"This is an act of solidarity. The whole civilized world should be by the side of these people today, because in the fight for freedom these people are being killed and kidnapped. At the expense of their lives, they are defending the freedom of their country. It is very important for us, for Georgia, that the dictators around us were defeated and that the Soviet Union, which maintains power through election fraud and violence, be lastly defeated. Everyone should know that this region is not the place of dictators, but the of freedom-loving people. Belarus is no longer the country that Putin, Lukashenko and other dictators think it is" - stated Khoshtaria.

A rally of solidarity took place nearby the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Georgia, where the participants joined their hands to form a human chain.

For the record, the protests in Belarus have not stopped after the August 9 presidential election. The protesters are demanding the resignation of President Lukashenko and holding the elections for the second time. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko maintains that the events in the country are developing according to the plan of "color revolutions, with the involvement of external actors.
