Over 30 restaurants, up to 10 nightclubs fined for failing to comply with coronavirus-related recommendations

According to Beka Peradze, Head of the Labour Inspection Department, more than 30 restaurants and up to 10 nightclubs have been fined for failing to comply with the coronavirus-related recommendations.

 

As Beka Peradze told InterPressNews, a total of 18 entities were fined as a result of inspecting markets in the capital. At the same time, the inspection of markets in Kutaisi and Batumi has started today.

 

"Both markets and individual entrepreneurs working there have been inspected. Businesses were fined GEL 10,000, while individual entrepreneurs were fined GEL 2,000. A total of 18 businesses have been fined across Tbilisi. As for the regions, the inspection started today. At the first stage, inspection will be conducted in Kutaisi and Batumi and we will gradually cover all Georgia.

 

In addition, more than 30 restaurants and about 10 nightclubs were fined for violating the rules of distancing and disinfection.

 

In general, the dynamics is positive, a large portion of the companies follow the recommendations," - said Beka Peradze.
