PM: Pandemic shock will last until the end of the year

PM Giorgi Gakharia tasked the Ministry of Finance to reexamine every social group and allocate resources for citizens who are in special need.

 

"We've tasked the Ministry of Finance today to reexamine the list of citizens who received social, targeted assistance in order to check it again what the state can do in terms of further social help. Despite all the positive tendencies, I'll say it again - relatively to indicators that the Georgian economy shows, naturally, the pandemic shock will last until the end of the year. Therefore, we should reexamine every social group and allocate resources for citizens who are in special need. I also want to emphasize that as of today, 721 000 citizens have received the social assistance packages which had been set up by the government", - stated Gakharia.
