"It is difficult to name a specific date for the infection, but we hope that Israel will quickly overcome the wave of epidemiological outbreaks and it will be possible to return to the talks by the end of July and be able to host the first guests from Israel", said the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava, who held an online meeting with the Minister of Tourism of Israel Asaf Zamir.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the ministers discussed the current epidemiological situation in Israel and assessed the prospects for the restoration of tourist traffic between the two countries.
"We are quite close to this decision, but recently the epidemiological situation in Israel has worsened. The Israeli government itself is very cautious, "Natia Turnava said.
Georgian Ambassador to Israel Lasha Zhvania, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze and Head of the National Tourism Administration Mariam Kvrivishvili participated in the online meeting.
