Economy Minister: Georgia will be as safe for travelers as it was before

“Georgia will be as safe for travelers as it was before. We are doing our best to further strengthen this image and make the whole world aware that Georgia is a safe destination,” said Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.

 

According to Minister Turnava, foreign tourists are eager to leave their own countries and relax, and Georgia is considered one of the safest destinations.

 

“It will be as safe to travel to Georgia as it was before. We are doing everything to further strengthen this image and make the whole world aware that Georgia is a safe destination. Believe me, there is a great interest [towards Georgia]. I had a meeting with the Hungarian Ambassador yesterday. Practically, every day I have phone calls and online meetings with my colleagues, both from European countries and our region and from the whole world. We see that foreign tourists are eager to leave their countries and relax, Georgia is considered one of the safest destinations to visit. Today the tourist pays more attention not only to the interesting environment, but also to its safety. We are working on it with our doctors, ”Natia Turnava said.
