According to the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, Mikheil Saakashvili created a modern customs service and defeated corruption during his presidency in Georgia.
Zelensky spoke about the former president of Georgia and noted that Saakashvili has strong ties with investors.
"During his presidency in Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili really created a modern customs service and defeated corruption. On the other hand, it has strong links with investors. We have discussed the pension reform and it is time to implement it in Ukraine," Zelensky said.
Former President of Georgia and former Governor of Odessa Mikheil Saakashvili has been appointed Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Reform Council of Ukraine.
