Mufti of Georgia calls on Georgian Muslims for praying at home

Mufti of Administration of Muslims of Georgia called on Georgian Muslims for praying at home during the month of Ramadan, which began on April 23.

 

Adam Shantadze, Mufti of Georgia said that group prayers will not be carried out at mosques as a security measures amid the pandemic situation in Georgia.

 

Shantadze said that the decision about how to celebrate Bayram would be made according to the pandemic situation in the country. This year Muslims will mark Bayram on May 24.

 

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community.
