17.04.20 14:50

The Tbilisi Medical Institute (TIM) will be temporarily closed, Giorgi Kachakhidze, director of the clinic, told InterPressNews.

"Some patients will be transferred to different clinics, others will be placed under quarantine. The majority of our employees are in quarantine now. As soon as we all leave the quarantine, the clinic will be disinfected and reopen,” said Kachakhidze.

According to him, a total of 9 people are infected in the clinic - 2 doctors, 5 nurses, and 2 patients.

The clinic director told InterPressNews earlier today that the two patients in the clinic were probably infected by a medical worker. According to him, the source of the spread of the infection in the clinic was a nurse, who has been infected by her brother, who is a priest.
