Government-approved the bill on the rights of persons with disabilities

The Government of Georgia approved a bill on the rights of persons with disabilities. Now the Parliament will consider it. The Minister of Justice, told reporters about the decision after the government session ended.

 

Tea Tsulukiani said that this is a draft law that the persons with disabilities waited for since the independence of Georgia.

 

Tsuluikiani thanked the state agencies, individuals, and organizations involved in the project. According to her, with the support of the Parliament of Georgia, the country will move to a new field.

 

"Once this law comes into force, the period when persons with disabilities were under the care of the health system will end. Persons with disabilities will become the object and subject of social rights protection as in highly democratic countries. I hope that other lawmakers in the Parliament, along with Rati Ionatamishvili, will support the bill," Tsulukiani stated.
