Georgia's invitation to the anniversary summit of NATO is a proof that NATO considers Georgia as a worthy partner country, a successful aspirant country, - Georgia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States of America Davit Zalkaliani said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia disseminates information about this. According to Davit Zalkaniani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will have the opportunity to introduce the position of the country in relation to the security and challenges that exist in the region, especially the Black Sea and the Black Sea Security System, to the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member countries of the Alliance."Inviting Georgia to the NATO anniversary summit is an important message from NATO, which is proof that NATO considers Georgia as a worthy partner country, a successful aspirant country, and our participation will be an even further step forward in terms of Georgia's integration into NATO. It is important that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who will lead the Georgian delegation, will participate in several formats, one of the important formats being the meeting with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs. In this format, he will have the opportunity to introduce the foreign ministers of the member states of the alliance to the country's position in relation to the security challenges created in the region, and of course, the Black Sea and the Black Sea security system will be of particular interest. From this point of view, I think that the summit will be extremely interesting and Georgia will have the opportunity to discuss the challenges facing the country together with its partners, the ministers of foreign affairs of the alliance member states", said Davit Zalkalian.

According to Davit Zalkaliani, the Georgian side expects that the progress achieved by Georgia will be adequately evaluated."As you know, after the Bucharest summit, the situation has changed very quickly and dynamically in the entire region, globally, and especially in the last 2-3 years. After Russia's aggression in Ukraine, NATO is facing new challenges, and it is this new situation that dictates other integration processes. Georgia cannot be considered isolated and detached from these processes, and our expectation is that our progress will be adequately assessed, and that is what we expect," said the Ambassador of Georgia to the United States of America.
