Mikheil Saakashvili: They decided to bring in the Chinese, let the Chinese replace the Georgians

They decided to bring in the Chinese, let the Chinese replace the Georgians. Why the hell do we want our [Anaklia] port in the hands of the Chinese? - They will resettle Chinese in Anaklia, Kazakhs in Rustavi. There will be no place for Georgians. But they won't be able to do that! - the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, said his speech at the court session.

According to him, during the time of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of Georgian Dream, 800 thousand Georgians left Georgia and if this continues, Georgia will be empty of Georgians.

"Lasika port in Anaklia was designed to employ all of Samegrelo in high-paying jobs. They decided to bring in the Chinese, to replace the Georgians with the Chinese. Why the hell do we want our port in the hands of the Chinese? Except danger, misery, poverty, what does it bring?! Like the economic zone in Rustavi, which we created in order to employ 60,000 people, has now been handed over completely to the Kazakhs. We must return Georgia to its citizens. It is very difficult for the generation that has to do all this. My son, Nikolozi, worked in a cafe-bar on Agmashenebeli avenue, earning 4 GEL per hour, his peers also work, they have families to support. When you work like this, there is no time left for learning and development. This is the generation that I called "Misha's generation". This is the generation that must take power.

One fact is stubborn. In our time, much more people returned to the country than left. During Ivanishvili's time, 800 thousand Georgians left Georgia. If this continues, Georgia will be empty of Georgians, Chinese will settle in Anaklia, Kazakhs will settle in Rustavi. There will be no place for Georgians. But they won't be able to do that!” - Saakashvili said.
