The Italian ambassador visited the emergency management service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Georgia - Massimiliano D'Antuono and his deputy - Fabiola Albanese visited the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.


According to their reports, the guests were entertained by the head of the Emergency Situations Management Service, Temur Mgebrishvili.


The guests visited the operational management center of the Emergency Situations Management Service and got acquainted with the specifics of the work on the spot. At the meeting, the parties discussed the activities carried out within the "PPRD East 3" program, the achieved results and future plans. The conversation also touched on the ongoing desk training on civil security issues in the city of Borjomi.


Within the framework of the "PPRD East 3" program, a table-top training was held for local self-government representatives in Borjomi municipality, which was also attended by Italian experts. The exercise, which served to prevent forest fires at the local and national level and to test the emergency management plan, ended with an exhibition of equipment and techniques.


It is worth noting that from 2020 until now, under the auspices of "PPRD", more than 100 employees of the emergency management service have been trained.
