Irakli Kobakhidze on US Congress hearing about Georgia: Modern Orjonikidzes go to Washington instead of Moscow

Exactly such letters had been sent to Moscow, this is how they used to arrive in Moscow and make similar statements - all of this ultimately led to the occupation of Georgia, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said, thus responding to the statements made at the hearing about Georgia in the US Congress.

 

According to the Prime Minister, "modern Orjonikidzes go to Washington instead of Moscow".

 

"A century ago, in 1920-21, exactly such letters were sent to Moscow, they arrived exactly like that and made similar statements, etc. All this finally led to the occupation of Georgia. The only difference today is that these people, the modern Orjonikidze, go not to Moscow, but to Washington in order to harm and damage our country in some way, which is, of course, treason. This is the only assessment that can be made," said the Prime Minister.
