Georgia among top 50 countries in Positive Peace Index

16.04.24 13:59

Georgia has been ranked among the top 50 countries for “positive peace” in a report published last week by the Institute for Economics and Peace, an international analytical centre.

In comparison to the previous survey, the country improved its position by six positions to be ranked 49th.

The index is based on social aspects including good government functioning, low corruption, healthy business environment, fair distribution of resources, acceptance of the rights of others, freedom of information, high level of human capital and good relations with neighbouring countries.

Georgia is ahead of all its neighbouring countries and fourth among post-Soviet republics after the Baltic states.
