Defense Forces commemorate Archil Tatunashvili at Mukhatghedi Brothers' cemetery

Archil Tatunashvili, the late Georgian soldier who was brutally murdered by the occupying forces, would have turned 41 today.


Representatives of the Georgian Defense Forces commemorated Archil Tatunashvili at Mukhatghedi Brothers’ cemetery and offered condolences to his family members.


Archil Tatunashvili was illegally arrested by representatives of the occupation regime in Akhalgori on February 22, 2018. His death in unclear circumstances was reported on February 23. His body was later transferred to the territory controlled by the Georgian side and buried with military honors at the Mukhatghedi Brothers Cemetery. Archil Tatunashvili served in the Defense Forces from 2007 to 2011.
