We will host the Council of Europe’s 11th Cultural Routes Forum in Kutaisi in 2021, - President Salome Zourabichvili said.

The President attended the Cultural Routes - Georgia and Europe event at the Simon Janashia State Museum of Georgia yesterday. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia.

According to Zourabichvili, European cultural routes provide Georgia with various opportunities.

"We have gathered here for a very important issue, because it is a great success for Georgia that we are so connected with Europe in this direction. This is one of the parts of our entry into the EU. Nobody can stop us on our way to Europe. We need a lot of paths that will bring Europe to Georgia as well, to show them what Georgia really is.

Cultural routes are a very interesting tool to introduce out country to tourists - Europeans and not only Europeans. Thus Europeans will see how European Georgia is - this will be the first thing that tourists will discover in Georgia”, Zourabichvili said.

"I would also like to remind you that the Council of Europe’s 11th Cultural Routes Forum will be held in Kutaisi in 2021, which is important for Kutaisi and the whole Georgia," Salome Zourabichvili said.
