EU High Representative commends Georgia's progress on EU integration path ahead of meeting with Georgian PM

Josep Borrell, the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, on Monday praised Georgia's progress on its European Union path and urged the Georgian Government to continue its efforts in this process.

 

In his remarks with Imedi TV, Borrell expressed his satisfaction with Georgia's performance, by saying that “Georgia is doing well”.

 

Borrell confirmed that he would meet Georgia's new Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who is on his first official visit to Brussels.

 

Borell reiterated the EU's support for Georgia's aspirations and highlighted the strong backing for EU integration from the Georgian public.


PM Irakli Kobakhidze embarked on his first visit to Brussels, where he would hold bilateral meetings with officials from the European Union and NATO.
