A very friendly meeting was held with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Antonio Gutierrez, who, while talking to the Prime Minister, emphasized the wise policy of the Georgian government in the direction of ensuring peace and stability, as well as economic development, in an environment burdened by crises, said Davit B­­akradze, Permanent Representative of Georgia to the United Nations.

He also noted that result-oriented and very important bilateral meetings were held.

Meetings, bilateral meetings held by the Prime Minister of Georgia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs in parallel with the UN General Assembly were result-oriented and therefore very important. Especially with the European leaders, the conversation was devoted to the successful implementation of the 12 points by the Georgian authorities, as well as the high expectations that the population of Georgia has in terms of receiving the candidate status.

Today is the main event. The Prime Minister of Georgia will address the world leaders within the framework of the UN General Assembly debate, he will emphasize the peaceful policy of our government in terms of restoring territorial integrity, he will talk about the economic reforms and democratic reforms implemented by the Georgian government in order to achieve tangible results for the population," said Davit B­­akradze.
