The new political center should be created not by the reorganization of parties, but by the addition of new forces - after the elections, we do not see a place for Georgian Dream in the strongly pro-Western government coalition, Lelo MP Davit Usupashvili said.
According to him, no one is currently being consulted.
Usupashvili states that it is possible to create a multi-party coalition after the elections, but it is impossible to create a multi-party bloc before the elections under the current constitution.
"Our strategic task is that, as a result of the upcoming elections, Georgia will get a sharply and clearly pro-Western government coalition, in which we do not see a place for Georgian Dream. For this we need to go to the elections with the right tactics. It would be a wrong tactic if all political forces stand together with the National Movement, to go back to the polarized environment and defeat Georgian Dream.
Georgia needs multi-partyism, not the alternation of two parties or an endless struggle between two leaders, which harms the country's well-being.
As for the formation of the coalition after the results of the elections, I will talk about it after the elections. What does the majority of society, more than half, want? - To see the novelty and not the alternation between the old and the new government," Usupashvili said.
For information, according to Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders of Lelo, the key to the defeat of Georgian Dream is to create such a union without the National Movement. As he stated on PalitraNews TV, he does not agree with the opinion of the chairman of the United National Movement, Levan Khabeishvili, that the National Movement has the key to the defeat of Bidzina Ivanishvili.
