PM says German Chancellor supports Georgia's EU integration

“German Chancellor Olaf Scholz always openly and loudly remarks in support of Georgia’s European integration,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

 

The PM explained his visit to Germany had been planned at the invitation of the German Chancellor.

 

According to Garibashvili, discussions will focus on ongoing regional and international security issues, the war in Ukraine, European integration and economic cooperation.

 

The PM also responded to the Mtavari Arkhi TV’s journalist, who asked whether the German Chancellor “summoned Garibashvili to Germany for his remarks made in Bratislava, Slovakia.”

 

“I would like to advise you to respect your country and then fulfil immoral and dirty instructions,” the PM responded to the journalist.

 

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili will meet German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on June 9.
