"The Armenian Community of Georgia" again promotes separatism in Tbilisi

05.06.23 23:10

The following announcement was circulated on Armenian social media on 5 June 2023:

"The Armenian community in Georgia informs that a rally in support of "Artsakh" will be held tomorrow, June 6, at 16:00 in front of the Armenian Embassy at Tetelashvili Street, N 4. 06.06.16:00. For information, about 4.5% of the Georgian population is Armenian. It is approximately 160 thousand people".

The extremist "Armenian community of Georgia" again, violating Georgian legislation and inciting ethnic hatred, promotes separatism in Tbilisi. The capital of the country which suffered from separatism and lost 20% of its territories and tens of thousands of lives because of it.

There is no doubt that Armenian nationalists will again talk about allegedly "120 thousand Armenians of 'Artsakh'" at their rally. In reality, there are far fewer Armenians left in Azerbaijani Karabakh. There are not even 30 thousand in Karabakh and these 30 thousand are for Karabakh to secede from Azerbaijan. So, this automatically means that 160,000 Armenians in Georgia can also demand secession from Georgia? It is hard to imagine what kind of chaos may await the Caucasus. After all, "according to the logical wish" of the Armenian separatists, this means that they are entitled to demand this wherever they want, contrary to common sense and international law.

Any propaganda of separatism on the territory of Georgia is in itself a threat to Georgian statehood, as the torch of separatism of the last century and propaganda of separatism and terrorism is being deliberately passed on to a new generation of possible future separatists! Especially when we consider the separatist sentiments among Armenians in the Georgian region of Samtskhe-Javakheti. Georgian historians have repeatedly noted in their national works and articles how on the eve of the collapse of the USSR at the Dashnak congress, the "Jvakhk" trend of Armenian aggression and separatism yielded just one vote to the "Artsakh" trend. This eventually led to a bloody war, the occupation of Azerbaijani Karabakh and the expulsion of over 1 million Azerbaijanis from there.

No one in Georgia will forget those separatist projects that were programmed and engaged by the Kremlin and the Armenian lobby in Abkhazia and Samachablo. With their separatist propaganda they deliberately sowed enmity between Georgians and their brotherly Abkhazian and Ossetian peoples. During the Abkhazian war the same Armenian separatist fighters that fought against Azerbaijan in Karabakh fought and carried out ethnic cleansing against Georgian civilians.

So it turns out that today Georgia tolerates propaganda of separatism, which led to the tragedy of Abkhazia and Samachablo? Separatism is openly propagandized in the capital of the country that has lost tens of thousands of lives to the separatists, including Armenian fighters! In the capital, where over 300 thousand refugees from Abkhazia still cannot return to their homes because of separatism.

Separatism is promoted by an organisation that advocates the separation of Samtskhe-Javakheti from Georgia and the illegal appropriation of Georgian holy sites by Armenians! How is this even possible!? All the more that the separatists of Artsakh, whom the centre is going to protect, recognised so-called independence of the separatist regimes in Sukhumi and Tskhinvali before anyone else.

The machine of propaganda of separatism and extremism by the "Armenian community of Georgia" must be stopped. All nations, all ethnic groups can and will coexist in Georgia in peace and harmony and this is facilitated by the Constitution of Georgia. The Armenian people must step back and break away from the ideology of "victim nation", extremist elements and propagandists of separatism once and for all in the Caucasus.
