The flag of the European Union is flying in front of the Parliament of Georgia. Whoever wants to see it, let him open his eyes, - the Chairman of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, told journalists.
He responded to the criticism that, on the Independence Day, the flag of the European Union is not displayed on the Parliament building, along with the flag of Georgia, and noted that "Whoever does not want to see it, no matter how many flags are flying in front of him, he will still not be able to see it."
"These are people who have no idea what independence is, what freedom is, what the homeland is, what it means to be a responsible citizen, a politician. These are people deprived of responsibility and sense of homeland. Therefore, it is not even worth entering into an argument with these people. Today our city is full of Georgian flags. Georgian people are happy about this. As for the flag of the European Union, the flag of the European Union is flying in front of the Parliament of Georgia. Whoever wants to see it, let him open his eyes. Whoever does not want to see it, no matter how many flags are flying in front of him, he still won't see it. The main issue is that they want to spoil this day for the Georgian society. Once again, I congratulate everyone on this day. Let's celebrate, this day is ours, we will not let anyone take it away," said Papuashvili.
