Particular topics pertaining to the economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at today’s meeting with Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih and Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal bin Fadhil Alibrahim of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to the government’s press office, the focus was made on Garibashvili’s successful visit to Saudi Arabia this year. As the Saudi officials pointed out after the meeting between Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, investing in Georgia became an area of special interest for them.
“Given the economic progress over the past few years, Georgia is now one of the attractive investment destinations for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was also noted at the meeting that Georgia has a very important geostrategic location. The parties agreed on holding the two countries’ business forum this year in Tbilisi. Readiness was also expressed to create a special commission consisting of the employees of the Ministries of Energy, Economy, and Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to probe into Georgia’s investment opportunities across different directions,” reads the press statement.
