On May 19, the Minister of Economy was supposed to come to the Parliament relating to the issues of Anaklia, but he did not come - the leadership of the Parliament informed us that the Minister was sick. We were told by the Parliament's office that he presented a document saying that he had "coronavirus symptoms". The person with coronavirus symptoms on May 19 flew to Qatar on May 22 together with the Prime Minister, - opposition MP Roman Gotsiridze writes about this on the social network.
As he notes, the authorities did not want to talk about Anaklia, especially about potential investors.
"On May 19, the Minister of Economy was supposed to come to the Parliament relating to the issues of Anaklia, but he did not come and the discussion of the issue was postponed for four months, till September 29, because the Parliament stops working for the summer and according to the interpellation rule, a person cannot be not summoned in the months of June or December.
The leadership of the Parliament informed us that the Minister was sick. We were told by the Parliament's office that he presented a document saying that he had "coronavirus symptoms". The person with coronavirus symptoms on May 19 flew to Qatar on May 22 together with the Prime Minister.
Everything will be clarified, we will request the test results. Maybe it is true what they say, but the authorities did not want to talk about Anaklia in this situation, especially about potential investors, because we suspect that there will be no western companies. Let's remember Ivanishvili's famous saying, "What do the Americans want in the Black Sea"?!", writes Gotsiridze.
