On the 24th of April 2023, a convoy of Armenian nationalists marched through the centre of Tbilisi. They pushed in front of the column in a wheelchair a bandaged simulacrum with "exceptional suffering" of a "new genocide victim", allegedly "beaten by Turks", one of the leaders of the extremist organisation "Armenian Community of Georgia" Artur Mirzoyan. He was followed by a huge placard depicting "Nemesis" (an ancient Greek pagan "goddess of vengeance") and terrorist Sogomon Teyleryan, who killed Turkish statesman Talaat Pasha. For reference - in the last century, during the "Nemesis" terrorist campaign, Armenian terrorists launched a real hunt for political figures of the Ottoman Empire and Turkey, taking revenge for the mythical "genocide".
The next day, a monument to the terrorists - in the terminology of Armenian nationalists "heroes of the "Nemesis" operation" - was unveiled in Yerevan. Soghomon Teyleryan was the main one among them.
All this suggests that the Armenian nationalists in Armenia and the Armenian fifth column in Georgia have already received a kind of "setup" and are acting in concert. And their actions could be dangerous for the Georgian state and Georgian citizens.
Everyone has already seen how Armenian provocateurs make "genocide victims" out of nothing by the example of Artur Mirzoyan who suddenly turned into an "invalid". What if the same "victim" appears in an attempt to seize a Georgian church - just as in 2017 in Kumurdo? And after that the Armenian nationalists will simply start hunting down all those who disagree with them?
Armenian terrorism has a peculiar history of "activism" and there is every indication that there is a strong possibility of a new "wave" since the Armenian nationalists are failing to achieve their goals militarily.
Recall that Armenian terror and political assassinations around the world (as part of the "Nemesis" terrorist acts) spread at a time when Armenians did not have their own independent state. The Armenian USSR was part of the USSR and Armenians had no army and no military expansion capability between 1920 and 1990.
Therefore, the Armenian nationalists then 'heroes' were terrorists like Soghomon Teyleryan. Terrorists were also targeted by Azerbaijani politicians who had nothing to do with the Ottoman Empire or the 'genocide'. Nevertheless, they, too, were labelled by the Dashnaks as "perpetrators of genocide" simply because they were at the root of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan, which had friendly relations with Turkey.
After most of the Turkish politicians who had any relation to the late Ottoman Empire were killed or died of natural causes, the Armenian nationalists had new "heroes" - Nazi executioners Garegin Nzhdeh and Drastamat Kanayan ("General Dro"), who bet on Hitler and formed Nazi "Armenian legions" from the Armenians. But Hitler's Nazism collapsed and Armenian terrorists changed tactics again after World War II. They began attacking Turkish diplomats.
But in the 1990s Armenian terrorism around the world seemed to have "gone downhill". Attacks on embassies and political assassinations became rare. However, this was purely because most of the terrorists had "gathered" for Armenia's war over Azerbaijan's Karabakh, where the bloody "skills" of terrorists such as Monte Melkonian against Azerbaijani civilians came in handy. However, some Armenian terrorists took part in the war against Georgia and in the ethnic cleansing of the Georgian population of Abkhazia - the infamous Baghramyan battalion, which was notorious for its brutality. Baghramyan battalion. One of them even had a monument erected in Javakheti. Then, the Armenian nationalists brought other "heroes" to the fore - along with the terrorist killers of the Nemesis terrorist campaign and the Nazis of Nzhdeh, Dro began to glorify the fighters and commanders of the Karabakh war. And as a 'cause for celebration', the capture of the Azerbaijani town of Shusha by Armenian gangs in May 1992 came to the fore.
However, Armenia was defeated in the 44-day war and was forced to liberate Azerbaijani territories, including Shusha. And despite the revanchist sentiments, it is clear that all the "gains" made by the Armenian military in the 1990s are lost forever. The bloody "exploits" of the Armenian "heroes"-terrorists against the peaceful Azerbaijani population have been devalued. Armenia has been unable to retain their "victories".
But instead of condemning xenophobia, aggressive nationalism and ethnic cleansing, Armenian nationalists have again started to put terrorist heroes first. They parade their portraits and unveil pompous monuments to them.
Undoubtedly, this symbolism is aimed at awakening "sleeping" Armenian terrorism. So, they have once again thought of intensifying Armenian political terror and killing. This means that all those who oppose Armenian nationalists can become targets of Armenian terrorism, including in Georgia. Terror can be directed not only at Turks and Azeris.
Take Georgia as an example. Georgians in Abkhazia had nothing to do with the notorious "genocide" in the Ottoman Empire. Moreover, as "genocide victims" they sheltered Armenians from Turkey on their land and received "gratitude" as a result. The militants of Baghramian's battalion as "descendants of genocide victims" organized terror and ethnic cleansing of Georgian population in 1992-1994 only because they liked Georgian land of Abkhazia.
It is no coincidence that the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry issued a statement regarding the unveiling of a monument to terrorists who carried out murder and terrorist acts called "Nemesis" in Yerevan. The actions of the Armenian authorities have been assessed as promoting Armenia's policy of terrorism and propaganda for terrorist acts carried out by Armenia throughout history.
According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the terrorist actions of "Nemesis" led to the assassination of former Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Fatali Khan Khoyski, former Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Hasan bey Agayev, former Interior Minister Behbud Khan Javanshir, former Prime Minister Nasib bey Yusifbeyli along with officials of the Ottoman State. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry called on the world community to condemn state support for terrorism.
"Such steps by Armenia call into question the 'sincerity' and 'goodwill' declared by that country with regard to the ongoing negotiations on the normalization of relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Georgian law enforcement agencies must also pay attention to the glorification of murderers and terrorists by Armenian nationalists, including from the Armenian community of Georgia. Moreover, the Armenian militants and terrorists guilty of atrocities against peaceful Georgian population of Abkhazia are still not punished. In particular, the same Galust Trapizonian, who today instead of sitting in a Georgian prison for his crimes, is an official of the separatist regime in Sukhumi and the richest representative of the Armenian lobby in occupied Abkhazia.
