Propaganda of separatism and "genocidal" lies by Armenian nationalists are scheduled in central Tbilisi

The Embassy of Armenia in Georgia and the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) in Georgia are going to organize events to mark the 108th anniversary of the mythical "Armenian genocide" in the Ottoman Empire on the evening of April 24, 2023. The venue is very symbolic, in the very heart of Tbilisi at 127, Davit Agmashenebeli Avenue.  The building of the State New Theatre named after Vaso Abashidze.

One can be sure that the main motive will be to "save" Armenians of "Artsakh" - Azerbaijan's Karabakh from allegedly threatening them with "genocide", by which Armenian nationalists mean restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. So, in reality, this is nothing but propaganda of separatism in the country which itself suffered from separatism in Abkhazia and Samachablo and has over 300 thousand refugees. These refugees were forced to flee, including from the Armenian fighters of Baghramian's battalion and other formations that participated in the war on the side of the separatists and carried out the actual genocide of the Georgian civilian population. And afterwards, Armenia not only supported the separatist regimes of Sukhumi and Tskhinvali through the separatists of so-called Artsakh (who recognized "independence" of these regimes), but also regularly, year after year voted against the return of Georgian refugees to their homes.

Meanwhile, both Turkey and Azerbaijan unconditionally recognise the territorial integrity of Georgia and regularly vote for the return of Georgian refugees. It is inconceivable to imagine any anti-Georgian events or meetings of Sukhumi and Tskhinvali separatists on Turkish or Azerbaijani territory in Ankara or Baku. But then why is Georgia allowing an event clearly hostile to Turkey and Azerbaijan to be held in the centre of Tbilisi?  Such an event damages relations of Georgia with friendly countries and its main foreign economic and investment partners.

The cynicism of the situation is that the Armenian organizers invited Metropolitan of Akhalkalaki and Kumurdo of the Georgian Orthodox Church His Eminence Nikoloz Pachuashvili to the "genocidal evening". This despite the fact that his cathedral in Kumurdo was forcefully attempted to be seized by Armenian nationalists in 2017, represented by the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) diocese organising the 'genocidal evening' on 24 April 2023. This diocese officially claims 442 Georgian churches on Georgian territory.

Apparently, taking advantage of the fact that the majority of the population of his diocese are ethnic Armenians, Metropolitan Nikoloz was "persuaded" to attend the event by those who have already tried and still want to seize his cathedral. But such "deflections" in front of aggressive nationalists can cost the Georgian Orthodox Church dearly. Not only it can lose its churches, but because of the propaganda of separatism it can get in the same Samtskhe-Javakheti a repeat of the Abkhazian tragedy, when the separatists drove out or killed all Georgian priests and monks.

Lasha Bakradze, director of the Georgian State Museum of Georgian Literature named after George Leonidze, has also been invited to the event, who has long been known for his pro-Armenian statements. He made his mark on the 100th anniversary of the mythical genocide when he recorded a video in which he read "an excerpt from the testimony of David Farmanyan, a survivor of the 'genocide'". (https://mediamax.am/ru/news/100seconds/13770/).

The story is entirely invented by Armenian falsifiers to "appease the European public", if only by the following episode: allegedly, the "genocide victim" was killed with a scimitar. However, in 1915 scimitar as cold steel weapon was out of use long ago and turned into rare museum exhibit, like sword today. Whatever the events in 1915, but scimitars were not used as a weapon then. Yet the "European public", which had been educated by the literati on historical myths about "terrible Turkish janissaries with scimitars", must have been affected by such an episode. Although the Janissary corps was disbanded in 1826, 89 years before the mythical "genocide".

Doubtless, Lasha Bakradze will once again voice Armenian myths and propaganda falsifications. It is possible that Armenian propaganda will pass off these statements concerning the "Artsakh" separatists as "the opinion of a representative of the Georgian people". And not at all the view of Georgian refugees whose relatives and friends were killed and tortured by Baghramian battalion fighters and in whose houses and flats "streams of victims" of the mythical "genocide" of 1915 still live.

One wonders also how and what will talk about at the "genocide" event Metropolitan Nikoloz and Lasha Bakradze, who accused the Georgian Orthodox Church that it is, in his words, "a fifth column of Russia". (https://www.ekhokavkaza.com/amp/24995541.html ). Who then are Lasha Bakradze's Armenian friends who fully support separatism and Russia's occupation of 20% of Georgian territory?

How does Lasha Bakradze's propaganda of Armenian genocide myths (on which their separatist projects and justification of separatism itself is based) fit in with the fact that his United National Movement (UNM) party officially condemns separatism? And that is why the UNM enjoys the support of refugees from Abkhazia and Samachablo. It is obvious that Lasha Bakradze, for the sake of his Armenian "friends" is simply "setting up" his political force.
