Russian occupation forces detain Georgian citizen near village Dvani

Representatives of the Russian occupation forces have illegally detained a Georgian citizen in the occupied territory near the village of Dvani, Kareli municipality.

 

According to the State Security Service, upon receiving the information about the illegal detention, the State Security Service activated the hotline operated by the European Union Monitoring Mission. International partners and co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions were immediately informed about the incident.

 

"All available mechanisms have been activated to release the illegally detained Georgian citizen as soon as possible.

 

Responsibility for all destructive actions committed on the occupied territories of Georgia, as well as along the occupation line, rests with the occupying power," the State Security Service said.
