According to some members of the youth organization of the National Movement, they were not invited to today's congress because of their different views.
According to Dimitri Bidzinashvili, one of the members of the National Movement’s youth organization, they are trying to destroy dissenting opinion in the party.
"Instead of these people doing what they call us to do on television, to unite, act together and fight, every day we see that they tear the party apart and persecute people. They are trying to destroy dissenting opinion in the party. They should create their own party structure, which will serve narrow party interests and not the common interests", said Dimitri Bidzinashvili.
In addition, according to Ana Kopadze, another member of the National Movement’s youth organization, the new management does not want to contact young people and take their thoughts into account.
"From the first day of their arrival, the new management has been refusing and has not had any desire to contact the youth, who have been creating the political climate for a very long time. The room, in which the youth office had been located, has been transformed into the personal security room of the new chairman from the first day of his election. This is completely unacceptable, because it becomes obvious that this person is not interested in the opinion of young people, he is not interested in what the new generation thinks," said Kopadze.
The youth organization of the National Movement responded to the accusations, calling them"lies".
"It is a lie that someone was not taken into account. It is a lie that we pushed someone away, this is not true," said Tite Gedenidze, a member of the youth organization of the National Movement.
The congress of the youth organization of the National Movement will be held today. Party chairman Levan Khabeishvili will deliver a speech at the congress.
