What you did in the working groups was an illusion and deceiving the public, if you want to implement the recommendations, a package of judicial changes is ready, based on a broad consensus and the conclusions of the Venice Commission and other international organizations - at least dare to consider it! - Lelo MP Ana Natsvilishvili stated at a briefing held in the Parliament and called on Georgian Dream to discuss the bill initiated by Lelo in the fall session.

According to him, the majority is deliberately obstructing the discussion.

"Do you remember how the Russian project passed all the committees in one week and got to the session the next week? Against this background, Georgian Dream did not even bring the draft law to the committee, which was initiated by a broad consensus in order to fulfill the recommendation on court, and they are doing this quite deliberately, maliciously blocking even the discussion of the draft law prepared to fulfill the recommendations. We are not going to stop, we strongly demand that these initiatives start to be discussed and we call on Dream to start a real work process, transparent and not incomprehensible working groups, as you did in the summer and it was well shown by the conclusions of the Venice Commission that what you were doing was creating illusions. It was an illusion and deceiving the public," Ana Natsvlishvili stated.

According to her, the implementation of 12 points is not a priority for the Parliament of Georgia, and this was confirmed by the current committee week.

"Not a single committee meeting was held during the week, apart from the Youth Affairs and Culture Committees, where matters were brought up, none of which related to the implementation of the 12 points. The rest of the committees and their heads seem to think they have the luxury of time off when two very critical conclusions arrived from the Venice Commission and which show that no projects have been developed that would fulfill the requirements of the 12 points", said Natsvlishvili.
