Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of UK to pay official visit to Georgia

On March 16-17, James Cleverly, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, will pay an official visit to Georgia, and will be hosted by his Georgian counterpart, Ilia Darchiashvili.

 

As mentioned in the information released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, within the framework of the visit, James Cleverly will meet with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili. Also, the head of the Foreign Ministry of the United Kingdom will visit the occupation line.

 

"As part of his visit to Georgia, James Cleverly will attend an event organized by the Digital Governance Agency regarding cyber security and will hold a meeting with civil society representatives.

 

It should be noted that within the framework of the eighth round of the Wardrop Strategic Dialogue held between Georgia and the United Kingdom, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, visited the United Kingdom on January 26, 2023.

 

It should be noted that the last time the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of the United Kingdom visited Georgia in 2016.
