Paata Manjgaladze: This is a watershed moment, voting for this law means voting against the European Union and NATO - when you call those financed from the West an agent, it means that you are Russian!

Yesterday, everyone saw the face of Georgian Dream when the Foreign Relations and Defense Committees approved the draft laws, on which America says that voting for them means voting against Europe and NATO, Paata Manjgaladze, deputy of Strategy Builder, told reporters about this.

 

As he noted, "this is a red line."

 

"This is a watershed moment, voting for this law means voting against the European Union and NATO. Even if take this so-called American law, which was passed against Nazi Germany 100 years ago, it does not apply to the non-governmental sector, but regulates lobbying activities hired by foreign governments. When you call someone funded by America "agents of influence", this is a Russian narrative, right?! America adopted this law 100 years ago to protect itself from enemy propaganda, and who is the enemy of the Georgia­n Dream?! If you call someone funded from America an agent, who are you?! Voting for this law, when you call those financed from the West an agent, means that you are Russian," said Manjgaladze.
