Commotion occurs in Parliament ahead of consideration of “agents bills”

02.03.23 18:00

A physical altercation took place in the Parliament, where the so-called agents bills are to be discussed today.

Representatives of non-governmental organizations and journalists are not allowed to attend the joint session of the two committees, where the discussion of the mentioned draft laws is to begin. The citizens who came to the Parliament demand to enter the committee meeting hall. The above caused a physical confrontation. They tried to break the cordon of the law enforcement officer by force.

It should be noted that the joint session of the two committees was initially scheduled in the First Republic Hall, but the place of the committee hearing was later changed. Now the meeting will be held in the Jiuli Chartava Hall, which is smaller and can hold far fewer people than the First Republic Hall.
