Representatives of NGOs whistling as People's Power MPs arrive at Parliament

02.03.23 17:00

Representatives of non-governmental organizations met the People's Power deputies in the Parliament lobby with chanting and whistling.

"No to Russian power" - that's how they address the authors of the so-called agents draft law, the discussion of which should begin in a few minutes at the joint session of the two parliamentary committees. Protesters are holding posters with photos of People's Power deputies and the inscription "Author of the Russian law".

According to the representatives of non-governmental organizations, the Russian law is not Georgia's choice and they appeal to the majority not to dare to adopt it.

"Don't support the Russian law, don't betray the country," is their appeal to the parliamentary majority.

It should be noted that National Movement MPs, including party chairman Levan Khabeishvili, came to the Parliament to attend the joint session of the committees. Representatives of Strategy Builder are also going to participate in the committee discussion.

Representatives of non-governmental organizations and online media, which will be affected by this law if passed, are present in the Parliament. In addition, experts supporting the ruling team, who today are members of the People's Power movement, have arrived in the legislative body.
