Three opposition parties - Girchi More - Freedom, Droa and Strategy Builder are starting a campaign to collect one million signatures for the European Union.

As Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of Strategy Builder, stated at the joint briefing, the goal of the campaign is to express the opinion of the Georgian people that "Georgia deserves to be a member of the European Union and NATO, and no government can change our minds about fulfilling this important mission".

"On February 24, tens of thousands of citizens gathered on Rustaveli, thus we sent a clear message to our Ukrainian friends that we are in solidarity, and we also sent a clear message to our European and American partners that the choice of the Georgian people is the European Union and NATO. Against this, Georgian Dream violates the Constitution of Georgia, where the European Union and NATO membership is indicated as a prerequisite for the realization of the idea of a strong Georgia. Not only does they not fulfill the 12-point reform plan, but they also initiate a Russian bill, which the whole civilized world tells us is against of Georgia's European integration.

Therefore, the only way is to start talking directly with our European and American partners with the mandate of the Georgian people. We will start a campaign to collect one million signatures. This million signatures will arrive in Washington, European capitals, Brussels. With this, we clearly express the opinion of the Georgian people that Georgia deserves to be a member of the European Union and NATO. Georgia stands next to the civilized world, and no government, no political group, no matter how tied they are to Russia, can change our minds about fulfilling this important mission”, Giorgi Vashadze said.
