Ukraine and Georgia have common enemy, we both have one occupier, who does not stop attacking our countries, - Ukraine's Charge d'Affaires Andrii Kasianov said in a speech at the event dedicated to the anniversary of the war in Ukraine at the Orbeliani palace.

According to him, the democratic, international community understood that the future of not only Europe, but the whole world depends on the victory of Ukraine.

"One year has passed since the Russian aggression. This year has become particularly difficult for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. We have lost our best citizens. Russia's bloody occupation did not spare anyone, neither children, nor young people, nor women, but Ukraine managed to cope with everything. Ukrainian people are united around this idea and aim to overcome problems. The democratic international community realized that not only the future of Europe, but the future of the whole world depends on the victory of Ukraine. This gives us unprecedented support, which is manifested in the provision of financial and other resources. Ukraine and Georgia have common enemy, we both have one occupier, who does not stop attacking our countries. Ukrainian soldiers are standing next to their Georgian brothers and are actively defending the country, trying to destroy the Russian occupiers”, said Andrii Kasianov.

He expressed his gratitude personally to Salome Zurabishvili.

“All Ukrainian flags, which are raised in Georgia, next to the Georgian flag, are a proof of solidarity shown by the Georgian people. This is what unites us against Putin's bloody regime. I would like to express my gratitude, personally, to Salome Zurabishvili. Her principled position, her words are for the Ukrainian people a symbol of the friendship that connect the Ukrainian and Georgian people. This is the reason why Ukraine will continue to be strong and will not stop until the last occupier leaves the country," said Kasianov.
