Paata Manjgaladze: Kobakhidze continues his harmful anti-Western pathos to justify his betrayal

23.01.23 13:20

They say CNN and the West are the "forces of global war" and Lavrov and Gavrilov are peacekeepers - Kobakhidze failed to publish statistics related to transit, Paata Manjgaladze, a member of Strategy Builder, told journalists, responding to the statement of Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze.

According to Manjgaladze, the statements by the majority members leave the impression that the Government is not preparing to fulfill the recommendations of the European Union, but "is preparing Georgia to join the Russia-Belarus Union".

"Kobakhidze continues his harmful anti-Western pathos to justify his betrayal. When talking about CNN and calling it a part of the "global war force", they portray CNN, the West, the leaders gathered in Davos as the "global war forces" who want bad things for Georgia, while considering Lavrov and Gavrilov as well-wishers. Kobakhidze once almost ended his political career due to a political flirtation with Gavrilov, and if he continues like this, he will have to end it soon. Russia criticizes and does not like European leaders, except for the Prime Minister of Hungary, the President of Belarus and Serbia, and now Kobakhidze was added to this list. I am under the impression that they are not preparing to fulfill the recommendations of the European Union, they are preparing Georgia to join the Russia-Belarus Union. As for the statistical data, Kobakhidze "missed" and deliberately lied about the information related to transit, to publish the statistics, by what percentage the number of transit cargoes has increased," said Manjgaladze.

Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze wrote on social network that in 2022, compared to 2021, the growth of Georgia's total exports amounted to 33 percent, while in the same period, exports to Russia increased by only 7 percent. According to him, the goods imported from Georgia make up only 0.3 percent of Russia's total imports in 2022.
