I want to express my great respect for Ms. President, who is the President of the country that is located in our part of Europe and historically and geographically understands what great threats Russian aggression is not only for Ukraine, but also for Poland and Georgia, President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, said at the briefing after a face-to-face meeting with the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.

According to him, European security is under threat today.

"It is a great honor for me to host Ms. President Salome Zurabishvili in this difficult period, in this difficult time, when Russian aggression is taking place against Ukraine. It is no secret that our security is at risk. Our common European security is under threat.

Our traditional relations between Poland and Georgia, our friendly relations are worth noting.

I thanked Ms. President very much for her position, the position that Ms. President has regarding the ongoing events, Russian aggression. It is especially important from the side of countries that are also victims of Russian aggression. It is very important to take such a position. I want to express my great respect for Ms. President, who is the President of the country that is located in our part of Europe and historically and geographically understands what great threats Russian aggression is not only for Ukraine, but also for Poland and Georgia. I am grateful to Ms. President for stating her position openly, which she has done many times. Polish society and Poles respect Georgia very much.

We remember how Georgia defended its territory in 2008. Our President Lech Kaczyński, when he came to Georgia in 2008, openly stated his position and took part in the rally in support of Georgia. His statement at that time was prophetic - "Today Georgia, tomorrow Ukraine, then Poland the Baltic countries and, in this aggressive history" and President Lech Kaczyński then said that if we did not stop Russia, Russia's aggression against Georgia wouldtake a larger scale, and if the international community did not resist this aggression, it wouldcover a wider scale.

I would like to thank Ms. President, who participates as a representative of the Georgian side in terms of assistance to Ukraine," Andrzej Duda said.
