The complete healing of Mikheil Saakashvili is impossible under these conditions, because he cannot be relieved of the stress that caused his current condition, Giorgi Grigolia, a member of the medical council created under the auspices of the Public Defender, said on PalitraNews.
According to Giorgi Grigolia, the Vivamedi clinic is ready for emergency intensive therapy and resuscitation measures in case of worsening of Mikheil Saakashvili's health condition, although it is impossible to cure him completely there.
"Now there is a cachexic state. Cachexia means weight loss. His condition has reached a level where it can get complicated at any time. First of all, cachexia may be complicated by bleeding, it can be a stroke, a heart attack. In this case, urgent intensive therapy, resuscitation measures are needed, for which the clinic is, of course, ready, like all multi-profile clinics.
As for healing, this is a more difficult matter. We said in the previous report as well that since it is impossible to cure him under our conditions, we recommended that it would be better to postpone [the sentence] for some time or to transfer him somewhere. He should stay away from here for some time until he is completely cured. This is our opinion, but, of course, the state makes the decision," he said.
Besides, according to Giorgi Grigolia, it is not necessary to bring foreign doctors to treat Mikheil Saakashvili.
"For example, I don't think that there are some innovative methods and it is not necessary to bring doctors. He does not need a surgery. If there is any innovative method of treatment, today everything is known to everyone, so it is no not necessary to bring them here," Giorgi Grigolia added.
