It is important to send the draft law on oligarchic governance prepared by us together with the draft law prepared by the majority to the Venice Commission, National Movement MP Levan Bezhashvili told journalists.
As he noted, this will allow the Parliament to agree on a single document and adopt it.
"After several calls from the European Commission, it is good that Georgian Dream sent the draft law on de-oligarchization to the Venice Commission for a legal opinion. It is important to send the draft law on oligarchic governance prepared by us together with the draft law of the majority to the Venice Commission, because it regulates and deals with the same issue. Accordingly, the report of the Venice Commission on both draft laws would allow the adoption of a joint draft law. Therefore, in order to complete the process, it is important that the law prepared by the National Movement be forwarded to the Venice Commission," said Bezhashvili.
