The de-oligarchization law is a nonsense made up by the opposition - it is a boomerang, which was thrown by a part of the opposition, aimed at Bidzina Ivanishvili, but it hit Mamuka Khazaradze and others, one of the leaders of Citizens, Aleko Elisashvili, said on PalitraNews TV.

As for the creation of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Aleko Elisashvili says that this issue is "meaningless".

"The issue of the creation of the Anti-Corruption Bureau is a futile effort. What is the purpose of this? This service is supposed to define the anti-corruption policy, but its head will be appointed by the Prime Minister. Imagine how meaningless it is. No real anti-corruption service will be created, so it is a futile effort.

As for the law of de-oligarchization, this is also futile. It is is a nonsense made up by the opposition - it is a boomerang, which was thrown by a part of the opposition, aimed at Bidzina Ivanishvili, but it hit Mamuka Khazaradze and others. And the fact that Kezerashvili should have been held accountable, but it has not been done for so long, is the fault of Georgian Dream," said Aleko Elisashvili.

When asked about his expectations regarding the EU membership candidate status, Aleko Elisashvili said that it would be unfair if Georgia does not receive this status.

"I think that we should get the candidate status, it would be injustice if we don't get it. The actions of Georgian Dream are an obstacle - when they curse the European Parliament, insult them, but despite this, we should get the status. However, before that, we have to do everything for that," said Aleko Elisashvili.
