The decision of the court to convict the leaders of Lelo for Georgia party, Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze, and using the court's verdict to strip Japaridze of his parliamentary mandate is a clear demonstration of a case of politicized justice, reads Georgia AA implementation report with compromised amendments approved by the Foreign Committee of the European Parliament.

According to the approved report with compromised amendments, further convictions of political leaders in Georgia will contradict the declared intentions to reduce polarisation.
