Salome Zurabishvili arrives in France for working visit

President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili is paying a working visit to France. According to the press service, high-ranking meetings will be held in Strasbourg and Paris, where the President will participate in the World Forum for Democracy and the Paris Peace Forum.

 

During the working visit to France, meetings are scheduled with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe and the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

 

Within the framework of the Democracy Forum, the President will meet with the Prime Minister of Iceland.

 

The World Forum for Democracy is held annually under the patronage of the Council of Europe and the French Government. The purpose of the tenth anniversary forum is to reveal the main factors of the decline of democracy and to find ways to solve this issue.

 

On November 11, the President of Georgia, together with world leaders, will participate in the Paris Peace Forum, which will be held in the French capital for the fifth time. This year's forum will focus on preventing multicrisis and destructive global polarization.

 

The President of the French Republic, the Director General of UNESCO and the President of the Red Cross will speak at the forum.
