According to available information, a citizen was attacked on homophobic grounds in public transport in Tbilisi.

As the citizen writes on Facebook, a man assaulted him verbally and physically on the bus and threatened to kill him.

According to available information, the author of post is being questioned by the police.

"This "man" attacked me on the bus because of my jacket, as to why I was wearing it unbuttoned - I said that it was not his business and we started arguing. Then this man stood up in an attempt to hit me, then another man stood up and I almost fell under the crowd who were shouting and insulting me, then the girls helped me to move away and I moved to the front of the bus, where I called 112. This man threatened to kill me, I had no other choice. The patrol was supposed to come to Didube, they were informed about the incident from Digomi Massive, but they didn't come on time and the bus went ahead, then the driver stopped at Tsereteli 126 and we were waiting for the police. This man stepped forward and slapped me. I also defended myself and repelled him, then he backed off and made threats. Some "women" on the bus blamed me for it. I can't tell you the in-depth details because I'm sick of writing it. Then the police came and an ambulance was called," the citizen writes, adding that "this is a war against free people and minorities, and this attack was also on homophobic grounds."

As the Ministry of Internal Affairs told IPN, the investigation into the incident was launched under Article 126 of the Civil Code.
