The radical opposition under the leadership of National Movement has a specific narrow-party interest to prevent the country from fulfilling the 12 points, block the process and try in every possible way to discredit this work by destructive means. The government has presented a specific plan regarding each point and in addition to what has already been done, this trend and process will continue in the future, said Mikheil Sarjveladze, a member of the majority.
As Sarjveladze points out, the opposition looks at the issue in this way - if another step is taken in this direction under the government of Georgian Dream after the Association Agreement, visa liberalization, European perspective, it will further expose the fallacy of their argumentation.
"If we analyze the decision taken from the beginning by the radical part of the opposition under the leadership of the National Movement to shut down the process that meant the implementation of the 12-point plan, it clearly shows that it is actually a political force that tries to hinder the country's progress and development when another political team can be the creator of this success. They have a specific narrow party interest to prevent the country from fulfilling the 12 points - to block the process, not to make their own contribution - to try in every possible way, by destructive means, to discredit this work as much as possible.
This will not go unnoticed by international partners. They can very well see that from the very first day, when the National Movement or several other parties chose the destructive path, they did not enter into work formats, did not engage in joint work, it was dictated by the only thing to hinder this process as much as possible.
This is how they look at the issue, if under the government of Georgian Dream another step is taken in this direction after the Association Agreement, visa liberalization, European perspective, it will further expose the fallacy of their argumentation. They have been deceiving the public for 10 years, as if the Georgian Dream is less pro-European than others, and they are trying to mislead the public as much as possible.
The government has presented a specific plan regarding each point on how to fulfill the specific conditions of European integration, and believe me that in addition to what has already been done (and there are concrete results), this trend and process will continue uninterrupted in the future," said Mikheil Sarjveladze.
