Georgian PM meets USAID AA

Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia on Thursday met with Erin Elizabth McKee, Assistant Administrator (AA) of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the Bureau for Europe and Eurasia (E&E). According to the government’s press office, the parties focused on the USAID’s firm support to Georgia in every key direction.

 

“It was highlighted that 30th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations is celebrated between the United States and Georgia. Over the past three decades USA has made a tremendous contribution to the democratic advancement of Georgia through various programs implemented in the country, inter alia supporting the economic growth and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Georgia. It was stressed at the meeting that Georgia is and will remain to be the closest and reliable partner of the USA in the region, and stands ready to further strengthen this solid partnership,” the press statement reads.

 

The meeting was attended by H.E. Kelly C. Degnan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Georgia; John A. Pennell, USAID Mission Director in Georgia; Dr. Alexander Sokolowski, Deputy Assistant Administrator (DAA); Filip Jotevski, Special Assistant to USAID AA; Aaron Rupert, Deputy Chief of Mission for Political-Economic Affairs at the US Embassy in Georgia. Host party included Revaz Javelidze, Head of Government Administration.
