Nona Mamulashvili leaves National Movement and Parliament

Nona Mamulashvili is leaving the National Movement and the Parliament of Georgia. The MP wrote about it on the social network.

"Friends, I want to inform you that I am leaving the Parliament and the National Movement.

Two years ago, I came to politics and Parliament with the sole purpose of working for the pro-Western development of the country, that is, to create an economically strong, fair and protected environment.

In an environment where poverty and hopelessness torment the country together, there are political prisoners and the oligarchy system has snatched the European future from our hands - the Parliament of Georgia has become a place where nothing good is being done or can be done for the country.

The current Parliament is the most disgraceful Parliament in the history of independence, as evidenced by only 16 percent public trust. The majority of this Parliament signed the destruction of the European future of the country, thus betraying the spirit of the Parliament of all previous convocations and most importantly, the will of the people.

As for the National Movement, the party is devoid of politics for a long time. Systemic problems do not provide an opportunity for innovation or recovery. The tragic thing is that it is everyone's fault and no one's fault at the same time, which further reinforces the political deadlock," she said.

According to the MP, she will join the innovative platform Gamziri created by Giorgi Akhvlediani and Beka Korshia.

“Giorgi and I, together with our Georgian, European and American friends, are working to start a large-scale international project necessary for our country, the purpose of which, of course, will be to fight for the western future of the country," Mamulashvili says in her Facebook post.
