The opposition wants to write Bidzina Ivanishvili's name directly in the law on deoligarchization - it will not be written! There will be no law directly related to Bidzina Bidzinashvili, Georgian Dream deputy Beka Davituliani told journalists.

According to him, Ukraine has objectively established criteria for deoligarchization, therefore the Ukrainian law was translated and the Georgian Parliament will adopt a law similar to the Ukrainian one.

Davituliani also says that in his personal opinion, the law on de-oligarchization is not relevant and adequate in the case of Georgia, but since the European Commission indicated adopting it, the Ukrainian law was processed.

"Adoption of the law on deoligarchization is a recommendation of the European Union. We will implement this as well as the rest of the recommendations. Ukraine has the only effective law on deoligarchization - therefore, we took the Ukrainian law, directly translated it and submitted it to the working group in order to create its Georgian version.

The opposition, which until now talked about the problem of oligarchization, refuses to accept the mentioned law.

The law has four main principles that determine who can be called an oligarch. These criteria are: funding of a political party, funding of the media, dominant market share in the country you are in and having 85 million - whoever it concerns. Those who meet these four criteria will be subject to sanctions.

We understand from the reactions of the opposition that the law will affect their financiers and that is why they do not want to accept it.

The only country that has a law on de-oligarchization is Ukraine - we are transferring what is written in Ukrainian law," said Beka Davitulian.
