Georgian PM meets Chinese State Counselor and Foreign Minister

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met State Counselor and Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi.

 

At the meeting held in New York within the framework of the UN General Assembly, the conversation touched on the close friendly relations between the two countries and their development prospects.

 

Irakli Garibashvili and Wang Yi reviewed the main directions of Georgia-China bilateral cooperation. It was noted that China is among the top-five trade partners of Georgia. The importance of strengthening bilateral relations in many directions was emphasized and the high dynamics of cooperation at the level of agencies was positively evaluated.

 

The parties welcomed the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Georgia and expressed their readiness to further deepen the existing friendly ties between the countries.
