The position of the US ambassador that the statements of the four MPs are the Russian narrative is surprising. It is very sad and I think the accusations are absolutely unfounded, the member of the parliamentary majority, Aluda Ghudushauri, told journalists while commenting on the US ambassador's statement.
According to him, when questions are asked and no one answers them, it creates inconvenience.
"To say the least, the approach is very unpleasant. When an MP asks questions, which in some cases are related to very important issues, especially at a time when there is complete ambiguity and no one gives answers, it creates a great inconvenience, to say the least. The position of the US ambassador that the statements of the four MPs are the Russian narrative is surprising. It is very sad and I think the accusations are absolutely unfounded, because a number of issues that these deputies ask are the position and questions of a large part of the population of Georgia. It is completely incomprehensible to me why asking a question is considered hostility or the Russian narrative," Ghudushauri said.
According to US ambassador Kelly Degnan, she received questions from senior Washington officials about the motives of those who continue to repeat conspiracy theories and lies based on Russian disinformation. As the ambassador said, there is great confusion among the senior officials in Washington as to why the Government does not distance itself from the above more sharply and clearly.
